Altair Hyperworks - A Platform for Innovation™

Academic Licensing

North American Licensing

chart

Altair offers education licenses to universities at a significant discount from our standard commercial rates These licenses may be used for classroom instruction, as well as non-funded academic research. An educational license agreement needs to be in place at an institution before any software licenses are granted.

Academic licenses are offered for annual lease only. Altair offers two site license options: a Stand-Alone License Option and a Multiple-User, Network Site License Option.

Stand-Alone License Option

This single-seat option enables the use of all HyperWorks software modules on a specific work station. This includes HyperMesh and HyperView for modeling and visualization, RADIOSS-Linear and RADIOSS-Nonlinear finite element solvers, MotionView and MotionSolve for multi-body dynamics, OptiStruct and HyperStudy for concept design and optimization, and our manufacturing solutions which include HyperForm and HyperExytrude. The stand-alone license provides 5,000 Gridworks units from Altair’s patented, token-based licensing system.

Network Site License

The Network Site License uses the FlexLM license management system to provide a pool of GridWorks units from the Altair token-based licensing system. This will allow any number of users on a specific server network to use any of the HyperWorks software modules.

The Microsoft Windows 2003, Linux, and Unix operating systems are currently supported for HyperWorks licensing.
